When Roc Brewing Co. began in the crisp cellaring walls of a suburban Rochester basement, they never imaged the future that was set forward. The ever infectious brewing bug had bitten both homebrewers Jonathan Mervine and Chris Spinelli. From the time the yeast was pitched it was unanimous this was their future. Joined by the emboldened encouragement of Chris’ mom and third partner Patty Spinelli, she was hooked by first sip. The new family began their many trials and tribulations of brewing, three tier law, legalese and to much to their chagrin ROC Brewing Co. was founded.
