Ono Brewing Company is a family business owned by husband and wife team, Scott and Cyndi Hoffman. “Ono” means “delicious” or “tasty” in Hawaiian and was chosen because of Scott and Cyndi’s deep connections to Hawaii. Cyndi’s mother was born and raised in Kahuku, on the island of Oahu. Scott and Cyndi were fortunate to return to Cyndi’s family roots, spending their first years of marriage living in Hawaii. It was there that they learned Hawaiian culture and traditions from Cyndi’s extended “Ohana” (family) while Scott served in the U.S. Army at Schofield Barracks. After their military tour, Scott and Cyndi returned to Florida, where they met in college, and Scott’s love of home-brewing was first kindled.
