Banks Breweries Ltd. is a Caribbean brewery founded in 1961 in St. Michael, Barbados. The company's main brand, the Banks Beer brand is also the flagship product of the wider Banks Holdings Limited. ("BHL Group") which owns the Banks (Barbados) Breweries Ltd. company. The beers are available on the island of Barbados and in many other countries in the Caribbean. The brand is also sold in the United Kingdom. Banks has recently announced an agreement with the LCBO of Canada to start exporting beers to the country as of June 1, 2009. Shipments to the US are surpassed by more popular brands such as Budweiser and Heineken.
